Finding YOU

When someone  first comes to counselling, they are often confused, overwhelmed, and perhaps struggling with whatever is going on in their life.

Trauma, pain, or life itself.

They have the belief that the therapist can 'fix' them, and make them feel better about themselves.

The reality is, I can't fix you, as you're not broken!

I can't erase or eradicate what has happened to you, but I can help you get back in touch with your true self.

I can help you find YOU again.

The YOU that you have forgotten about, the YOU that you no longer see as a priority, as you are so busy taking care of others.  The YOU that life has taken it's toll on.  Life can be tough at times.  But that same YOU is waiting to be set free, so you can fulfil your dreams, and reach the goals that you  once hoped for.   You deserve to be the YOU that you always wanted to be.

Together, we can uncover your strengths, and skills, that will allow you to face the challenges that arise in your life.

• I can help you see new possibilities and ideas.

• I can support you through whatever is going on for you.

• We can explore your thoughts and responses in a specific area.

• I can encourage you to take that next step.

• Help you acknowledge, and validate that you may already have the answers.

• I will stand beside you when you start to thrive again.

It may take time to get there and to feel valued and safe, but YOU are worth this journey.

Be kind to yourself

Self - Reflection - How can it help?
31 Oct, 2020
If I care for me, then I can care for you. If I can care for me, then I can teach you how to better care for yourself. If you care for you, then you can teach others how to treat you. If you care for you, then you give others permission to care for themselves. If others care for themselves, then they start to care for each other. If others care for each other, then they start to care for the planet. If we all care for ourselves, each other and the planet, then we create the kind of change that builds a positive future for our children. It all starts with self-care.
