H. Phillips Counselling aims to promote good mental health & wellbeing.

At H. Phillips Counselling, we prioritise the enhancement of mental health and the improvement of overall wellbeing for all those who seek our support. Our approach is rooted in compassion, understanding, and professionalism, ensuring that every individual receives the care and guidance they require.

Through our range of counselling services, we aim to foster resilience, encourage personal growth, and support individuals in achieving a balanced and healthy state of mind. We believe that promoting good mental health is essential for leading a fulfilling life.

I am a fully qualified psychotherapist (Dip Couns MBACP) and a registered member with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  Also an Accredited Registrant of (NCPS) National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Accred) and Registered member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists (MFHT)  I am also registered on Psychology Today and The Counselling Directory.

I bring extensive experience as a mental health counsellor within both private healthcare settings and the voluntary sector. My background includes many years of service within the NHS

I have managed a private clinic operating within a healthcare facility, and I provide corporate support and psychological debriefing to employees following workplace traumatic incidents.

As an EAP mental health counsellor, I support individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and a wide range of other issues. Additionally, I have worked with counselling services specifically tailored to oncology clients.

I also manage my own private practice.

I am an integrative psychotherapist and holistic counsellor, which means that I draw upon a blended approach to counselling. This method incorporates elements from a variety of specific therapies, allowing me to address the complexities of each individual. Rather than focusing solely on mental health, I consider the whole person in my practice. The foundation of integrative counselling is the understanding that no single therapy can meet the needs of every individual.

In our sessions, I will work alongside you to explore your physical, emotional, social, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. Together, we strive to find a harmonious balance across these areas, ensuring that all aspects of your being—mental, physical, and emotional health—are supported and maximised to their full potential.

Holistic counselling looks at the client in their entirety, placing you at the centre of the process rather than simply focusing on a diagnosis or specific symptoms. This flexible approach means that I tailor therapy to suit you, rather than expecting you to fit into a set therapeutic model.

Our work together will be collaborative, moving in a direction that is guided by your personal goals and aspirations.

You are a unique individual; there is no one else who thinks, reacts, or handles situations in quite the same way as you do. Your individuality is at the heart of our therapeutic journey.

This form of therapy is not just for you—it is fundamentally about you.

Mental health is incredibly important, and it is vital to make yours a priority.
